Synergy Solution

Synergy Products Offer Cost-Effective Solutions for Waste Management Problems:

  • Municipalities
  • Agricultural Waste Disposal
  • Shipping Ports

Synergy Provides Environmentally Safe Solutions:

Because EPA environmental requirements are well understood by our engineers, our product line will be compliant with all state and federal emissions requirements.

  • At 1600+ degrees the thermal waste reduction process is smokeless; Synergy’s thermal waste reduction systems are designed to operate at 1800+ degrees F where the majority of the competition operates at 1300 degrees F.
  • At 1800+ degrees F, heat-recapture (i.e. green energy) is possible, providing renewable energy and a possible revenue source to the owner/operator of our thermal waste reduction systems.

Our product line can capture and convert thermal energy to steam and/or electricity, thereby reducing the environmental impact of other more damaging processes that may be used to generate electricity, such as coal-burning power plants. Synergy's Grant Department will work with the many available grants and tax credits for renewable energy to meet our customer's financial requirements.

Synergy's Solution Will Improve the Quality of the Communities in Which It Operates:

In large metropolitan areas in industrial regions, landfills are at or are near capacity, out of environmental compliance, and/or expensive to operate. Several states have recently issued moratoriums on the continued use of local landfills. Homes and businesses continue to dispose of materials that can cause environmental and aesthetic damage, which, left unabated, will be catastrophic to communities. These factors suggest that alternative means of disposal will become more important and necessary in the future.

Synergy's products can provide other material benefits to its user communities. Synergy’s smokeless thermal waste reduction process reduces wood waste volume by more than 99%. By reducing the waste volume by more than 99%, the life of existing landfills can be extended and the ash may be placed in a landfill without the liability caused by raw municipal solid waste. Depending on the feedstock, the resulting ash may have value as an agriculture fertilizer or be used in the production of concrete.

Synergy Advantage

Synergy Product Offerings Have Several Competitive Advantages:

  • When compared to “pit-burners”, Synergy’s product is able to deliver much higher incineration volumes at similar upfront and lower ongoing costs.
  • When compared to some higher cost competition, Synergy’s product is able to deliver similar volumes at lower upfront and ongoing costs.
  • Synergy’s ACI products do not require repeated use of fossil fuels in normal operation, unlike both higher and lower volume competition.

Synergy’s Business Model Is Designed to Deliver Consistent and Substantial Benefits to Its Owner/Operators By:

  • Reducing landfill costs, including tipping charges.
  • Reducing transportation costs.
  • Providing a source of revenue as excess capacity may be sold to commercial carriers and/or municipalities

Synergy Products

Synergy's product line can be customized to fit customer needs. Seven models include both general purpose ACI's and specialized controlled air units:

General Purpose ACI Models

  • Cyclone 20T (20 tons incinerated in a 16 hour work day)
  • Cyclone 80T (80 tons incinerated in a 16 hour work day)
  • Cyclone 160T (160 tons incinerated in a 16 hour work day)
  • Cyclone 320T (320 tons incinerated per in a 16 hour work day)

Special Purpose Controlled Air Models

  • Synergy MHW (Municipal & Hazardous Waste) – Special purpose municipal waste unit
  • Synergy LE (Law Enforcement) – Destruction of drugs and other illegal substances and materials
  • Synergy V (Veterinarian) – Special-purpose animal crematory

Each of the general purpose units is capable of handling all forms of vegetation and wood waste. All units can be modified to handle waste oil, sand sludge, municipal and household waste and wastewater sludge when equipped with one or more of the following optional accessories: Scrubbers, Energy Recovery Caps, Oil Recyclers, Stack Gas Analyzers, Hydraulic Dumpers and Loaders. Each unit is designed to meet the specific needs of the end-user.

Product Description:

All of Synergy’s ACI’s feature our unique panel technology similar in design and construction to the Flagship Cyclone 320T. This ultra high-heat panel technology separates our incinerators from our competitors and provides a meaningful competitive advantage.

Optional Accessories:

  • Energy Recovery Cap (also called a Heat Capture Unit) – can be added to units of all sizes and can be custom configured to meet the needs of the customer, the most common being a boiler system for steam generation for heating purposes or to generate electricity.
  • Hydraulic Dumpers and Loaders – can be added to facilitate the loading of units.
  • Oil Recycler – separates oil from other waste, facilitating the recycling of several different materials by processing used filters, oily rags, oil spill booms and pads, oil sludge, contaminated oil and water, and used barrels.
  • Scrubber – captures particulate floating in the air after the primary thermal waste reduction process in a separate chamber. The particulate is then re-incinerated and eliminated, a key component to comply with the most stringent emission standards.
  • Stack Gas Analyzers – continuously measures CO, CO2, NOX, O2 emissions (the particulate which is re-incinerated in a scrubber).

Technology Discussion

All of Synergy’s thermal waste reduction systems are based on walled refractory panels that weigh over 1600 pounds and have approximately 5x the density of concrete. Synergy technology allows incinerators to operate in excess of 1800 degrees Fahrenheit (F), resulting in smokeless emissions that meet all federal and state standards.

Other unique characteristics of Synergy products:

  • Expected life is 2x - 3x times the expected life of competitors' products
  • Synergy's Air Curtain Incinerators (ACI's) operate at 1800+ degrees F vs. the competition at 1300 degrees F
  • At 1800+ degrees F, heat recapture (i.e., "green energy") is possible

In comparison to other manufacturer’s equipment, Synergy’s thermal waste reduction equipment is:

  • Less complicated in design
  • Less expensive than competitive units with similar capabilities
  • Easier and less costly to install
  • More durable
  • Freestanding (does not have to be housed)
  • Less expensive to maintain and operate
